Methods

Dry needling

Dry needling is a treatment option that utilises extremely thin acupuncture needles as a tool to manipulate muscular tissue and temporarily reduce pain. Using dry needling for muscular pain can be extremely useful. Although often not fixing the root cause of pain, it can help you participate more in your physio exercises and have some temporary pain relief as you recover!

Exercise Therapy

Building resilience in your tissues and body is the name of the game for physiotherapy. The right exercises at the right time is the main way physiotherapy can help you recover. Also, Knowing and understanding some exercises to do for your injury puts you in control  of your situation.

Soft Tissue and Manual Therapy

When you are injured, massage, joint mobilisations and soft tissue work can be useful at reducing the pain. When used in conjunction with a rehabilitation program, temporary pain relief treatments such as massage and manual therapy are excellent for helping you exercise and participate with less pain.

Referrals

Many people are not aware that physiotherapists are able to refer for some diagnostic imaging, without the need to go to your GP first.
